Through television programmes, interviews, talks, and public appearances, I try to open up subjects that have been met with silence for too long – the mental health of children and young people, the challenges of parenthood, relationships, raising children, peer violence, addiction, social pressures, and a growing emotional loneliness.
My aim is not to create a sensation, but to raise awareness. I want to bring psychology closer to the everyday person, to break down prejudice, and to show that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but of responsibility to ourselves and to the people we love.
I believe that every word spoken can give someone back their hope. So I use the media as a space for learning, for understanding, and for encouraging positive change – because mental health is not one person's concern, but the responsibility of society as a whole.
